Our comments:

The role of a UX Designer relies on a deep understanding of human behaviors and needs, requiring strong empathy and qualitative analysis skills. While AI can assist in collecting and processing certain behavioral data, interpreting this data and transforming it into concrete solutions demands human sensitivity. Moreover, collaborating with other teams to ensure that the user experience effectively translates into technology – as well as constant iterations with the users – are essential aspects of this role that require strong interpersonal skills.

This section reviews the 3 main tasks associated with the job studied and assesses the potential level of automation induced by AI ('AI Automation Impact').
The modeling uses 8 criteria detailed on the 'Methodology' page.
Tasks AI Automation Impact
Analyze user needs and behaviors to create intuitive interfaces that meet their expectations. Very Low
Design wireframes, prototypes, and interactive mock-ups to visualize the user experience. Moderate
Collaborate with development and design teams to ensure correct implementation of UX recommendations. Moderate
Through our research, we have identified two pivotal categories of skills that will be impacted by AI-driven automation :
  • 'At-risk skills,' which are likely to become obsolete due to their susceptibility to automation
  • 'Future-proof skills', which are projected to retain their value and resist automation, thereby ensuring their relevance in the forthcoming job market.
Let's have a look at the future of your skills for this job :
At-risk Skills
Create a functional prototype The creation of prototypes is becoming increasingly accessible thanks to intuitive tools like Figma, Sketch with "drag-and-drop" interfaces. Also developing are libraries of pre-designed components, and AI contributes to automatically transforming hand-drawn wireframes into interactive prototypes.
Evaluate existing interfaces Current technologies offer tools that can automatically evaluate certain parts of an interface based on specific criteria. AI can be trained to recognize common design patterns and suggest improvements based on current design trends.
Future-proof Skills
Map user usages Mapping usages, often carried out in the form of user journeys, requires a deep understanding of emotions, motivations, needs, and user behaviors. This skill goes beyond simple data collection; it demands empathy and the ability to put oneself in the user's place.
Involve various project stakeholders in ideation workshops Organizing and facilitating ideation workshops require an understanding of human dynamics. Knowing how to encourage participation, manage conflicting personalities, stimulate creativity, and ensure a collaborative and productive working environment are intrinsically human skills.
